About Mécanique SGR

More than 25 years of dedication

When Sébastien Gagné graduated with a heavy vehicle mechanics diploma in 1993, he had talent and ambition to spare. He also had a vision. Within 6 years he had bought a mobile service unit and launched his own business, Mécanique SGR. In just a few months, he added his first employee.


With their first customer in hand and a fleet of 25 tractor and tank units to service, the tiny team at Mécanique SGR proved their mettle and their skills inspecting and repairing heavy vehicles. The customer’s fleet quickly grew and was bought up by a big player in the transportation industry. Mécanique SGR was able to build on the team’s experience and growing reputation to recruit new customers. Soon they outgrew the space they were in and were ready to take another big step with the business: upgrading to a larger space with room to grow. Fast forward 20 years and Mécanique SGR has been serving customers with passion and dedication from the same location at 12600 Henri-Bourassa Est.


Sébastien has always made a point of listening to customers and their needs, concerns, and special requests to provide truly personalized service, so it’s no surprise that Mécanique SGR has such a stellar reputation for outstanding customer care. Most importantly, he and his team always treat every customer the same, whether they have one vehicle to service or an entire fleet. The SGR motto: A happy customer is a loyal customer!
